kissy time. // selectively accepting.

number fifteen.     a kiss because you missed them.

it’s been two years since hannah and beth went missing. and a year since josh had thrown the prank of his own. though having been saved from the mountain, getting rescued before he could become one of those monsters, josh hadn’t seen anyone. he’s isolated himself from them, guilt eating away at him for months on end. he ignored their calls. he didn’t answer the door when they knocked. it was better to distance himself    ––––    he didn’t want to hurt them again. but then it’s three in the morning, and there’s knocking on his door, and he knows he shouldn’t answer it. but he can’t sleep in the dark anymore, not after seeing what he did on the mountain. the knocking should scare him. hell, it really does. but as he approaches the door, baseball bat in hand, he’s able to see a figure, a human figure, standing outside. wendigo’s don’t knock, idiot. he knows who it is automatically.

josh opens the front door, slowly, glancing up to meet mike’s gaze. there’s absolute silence between them, but something inside of them must have snapped at the same time. because a split second later, they’re reaching towards each other. lips meet, fingers get tangled in locks of hair. it’s tense and frantic and goddamn perfect, and josh is pouring everything he can into it mike backs him against the doorframe, fingers gripping onto the edge of josh’s shirt, and the washington could have melted right then and there.

                                       miss you so much    ––––
